The Village of Alexandria is committed to providing responsible and thoughtful local government services to our community. We strive to enhance the quality of life for current residents and future generations by actively promoting efficient resource management and community engagement.

We maintain Village streets and alleys, along with streetlights, water and sewer lines, and traffic signs. Leaf collection, mowing of public spaces, and snow plowing are also included in services provided to residents.

The Village of Alexandria is part of the Municipal Utility Coalition of Licking County. Learn more about MUCLC and how it is working on behalf of the residents of Alexandria, Granville and Johnstown.

Water & Sewer

The Village of Alexandria owns and operates its own water and sewer system, serving approximately 220 households in the Village and surrounding areas. Water bill payments can be made online, at the Village office (either in person or through the drop box), or by mail to PO Box 96, Alexandria, OH 43001

Trash & Recycling

WIN Waste Innovations is the residential waste hauler for the Village of Alexandria. Information regarding pickup schedules, recycling, and items accepted for pickup can be found at www.win-waste.com

The Licking County Recycling Program's Alexandria/St. Albans drop-off site is located in Fireman's Park on Johnstown-Alexandria Road (Route 37). Rumpke Waste picks up recyclable materials from the 7 dumpsters on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Gas & Electric Aggregation Program

Alexandria is part of a voter-approved municipal aggregation program that provides residents with consistent gas and electric pricing through gas and electric generation suppliers certified by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. The program is available to all residents and small businesses in the Village of Alexandria.

Columbia Gas (800-344-4077) and AEP Ohio (800-672-2231) are the retail suppliers for gas and electric in Alexandria.

As of October 2025, IGS Energy is the supplier for the gas aggregation program with a rate of $0.756 per ccf through May 2026. Contact IGS at 877-353-0162 to enroll in or opt-out of the gas aggregation program.

Dynegy Energy is the supplier for the electric aggregation program, providing a consistent rate of $0.0624 per kWh through December 2025. Contact Dynegy at 888-682-2170 to enroll in or opt-out of the electric aggregation program.
