2025 was a year of accomplishments for our community! Click here to see all the things we worked on -- from investments in infrastructure and public spaces to expanded communication, community events, and thoughtful planning for the future, the past year reflected a strong commitment to improving our quality of life and responsible stewardship. The accomplishments we've highlighted are a source of shared pride—made possible by dedicated Village leadership, staff, volunteers, and engaged residents working together to move Alexandria forward.

Design and engineering work is beginning this spring for the Pedestrian Safety Project that will bring new and improved crosswalks, accessible curb ramps, safety signage, hi-visibility pavement markings and extended sidewalks to our Village. This project is funded by a $330,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The improvements will make it easier and safer for everyone to get around town - whether walking to a school bus stop, heading to the park for some family fun, or just going for a stroll. We'll keep everyone updated as project planning and construction continue to move forward!

At its March 10 meeting, the St. Albans Township trustees adopted a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district that includes all of the properties that immediately surround the Village of Alexandria. This decision affects the land contiguous to the Village -- click here for a clear explanation of how the TIF impacts residents and how the Village is responding.
