Welcome to the Village of Alexandria

Alexandria is a picturesque community in Central Ohio, situated in western Licking County. Founded in 1830, Alexandria is a village that is proud of its heritage; generations of families have called it home. Living in Alexandria means enjoying the things that only a small town can offer — a tight-knit community, friendly neighbors, safe streets, and plenty of green space.

Local family farms, fast-running creeks, small businesses, and an abundance of wildlife combine to enhance the community's rural setting. The T.J. Evans Bike Trail, an 18-mile Rails-to-Trails path passing through Licking County fields and forest, features a convenient parking area in Alexandria, giving travelers opportunities for food and beverage stops.

The village is located on State Route 37, approximately 30 miles east of the state capitol in Columbus and 6 miles west of Granville. Alexandria is part of the Northridge Local School District. There are also several institutions of higher education within a short distance, including Denison University, The Ohio State University at Newark, and Central Ohio Technical College.
